John encouraged Jerry to start a pest control business because he felt that the residents of the city would be willing to pay for the same.
The above sentence is incorrect as per Aritotle SC Grail.However, it is correct as per MGMAT SC Guide Rule.
According to Aristotle SC Grail there is Pronoun Ambiguity in the sentence as marked in RED.
However,according to MGMAT SC Guide rule:
Rule: Pronoun in one clause may often be deemed to refer to subject of || Clause.Here in this sentence we have 2 clauses:
C1: John encouraged Jerry to start a pest control business
C2: He felt that the residents of the city would be willing to pay for the same
Subordinating Conjunction : Because
Had it been "John and Jerry" then the confusion might have aroused.However,according to Rule mentioned there shouldn't be any ambiguity.He should refer to John clearly.
Plz Advice !!

IMHO, there does not seem to be any ambiguity... He seems to clearly refer to John... I would like to hear Aristotle Prep's explanation for why they say it is ambiguous...
