I think this question isn't good at quality. Option D points out that companies have some ways to encourage their employees, not just cooperation among employees. However, choice D doesn't explain why those companies that don't encourage cooperation have worse perfomance.

I agree with broall. D does not weaken the conclusion, rather merely mentions a feature of those companies that do not practice such celebration.
