The recommendations of our political counsel have been faulty. We should not implement their ideas despite unanimous approval of their proposal by the board of trustees, which believes the proposal will be effective and, moreover, that it will unite the team by reflecting a variety of interests. I answered C and got it correct.
(A) It is more important that a proposal unite the entire team than that it be highly effective. --- Not mentioned
(B) The proposal is rudimentary and naive. --- This is what the narrator of the passage says, not the board of trustees
(C) The recommendations of the political counsel will be effective and unite the whole team. --- Correct, in the middle of the passage you see "proposal by the board of trustees, which believes the proposal will be effective and, moreover, that it will unite the team by reflecting a variety of interests."
(D) The board of trustees will be more effective than the political counsel. --- Not mentioned, also opposite to the claims made.
