I guess not related directly to parallelism!! The Error is of modifier. Original sentence implies : building material & firewood provide employment. Here forest should be modified.
Simplified version of the sentence:
Forests remove co2 from air, conserve soil and water, house thousand of species, supply valuable resources and by supplying these resources FORESTS provide employment for thousand.
only E conveys this message clearly and hence the correct option.
