(A) diagnosing and successful treatment, patients grow to trust their physicians
(B) diagnosis and treatment, if successful, lead patients to trust their physicians
A and B out as physicians have to be a subject.

(C) and successful diagnosing and treatment, physicians develop trust in their patients

Two issues:
(1) first "and" changes the list, making the list of two elements: careful examination, competent and successful diagnosing and treatment. Usage of comma to connect a list of two elements is incorrect.
(2) second reason is that "diagnosis" works better for this list of noun entities than "diagnosing"

(D) diagnosis and successful treatment, physicians help their patients grow to trust them
(E) diagnosis and successful treatment, physicians develop in their patients growing trust

Between D and E, I would say it is E; smth wrong with meaning in the option D.

(A) diagnosing and successful treatment, patients grow to trust their physicians :
DIAGNOSING, PARALLELISM ERROR.
START MODIFIER MODIFIES PHYSICIANS, NOT PATIENTS.

(B) diagnosis and treatment, if successful, lead patients to trust their physicians:
NO MAIN CLAUSE

(C) and successful diagnosing and treatment, physicians develop trust in their patients: OPPOSITE MEANING.

(D) diagnosis and successful treatment, physicians help their patients grow to trust them: THEM IS AMBIGUOUS. OTHERWISE CORRECT.

(E) diagnosis and successful treatment, physicians develop in their patients growing trust: MAIN CLAUSE IS AWKWARDLY CONSTRUCTED.
