I would need to confirm the OA for this.

Even I picked A. However, the OA given is B.

I don't have the OE for this. Hence, posted this question to get your views.

Suresh, like Prasanna, plays tennis well.

Here we have verb plays.. Do we need to use "As" here????? I don't think so... Correct me If I am wrong.

I got the following information from internet.

“Like” generally excludes things.

“As” generally includes things.

In other words, use “like” when making a comparison to just one other thing. Use “as” (or “such as”) when making a comparison to several things.

Example: When you have a toy like a bag of marbles, it’s easy to talk to a walrus.

You’re comparing toy to one thing (bag of marbles), so use “like.”

Example: When you have a toy, such as a bag of marbles or a sack of doorknobs, it’s easy to talk to a walrus.

You’re comparing toy to a number of things (bag of marbles and sack of doorknobs), so use “such as.”

:) I don't think the comparison is correct. You are comparing nouns Suresh and Prasanna and thus you need "like" . I don't think the sentence is proper construction

Accountants, like lawyers and physicians, regard the overt pursuit of new business as inappropriate professional behavior.

A. Accountants, like lawyers and physicians, regard the overt pursuit of new business as
B. Accountants, as do lawyers and physicians, regard the overt pursuit of new business as
C. As it is with lawyers and physicians, accountants regard the overt pursuit of new business to be
D. Like lawyers and physicians, the accountants regard pursuit of new business that is overt as
E. Like lawyers and physicians regarding it, accountants consider the overt pursuit of new business

Main flaw in (A) is missing verb "do"....Here actualy interpretation is accountants types are given as lawyers and physicians.
But in (B) we are comparing what accountants and (lawyers)physicians do ...
hence as do is used in (B) and makes it crrect with parallelism
