Indian Male, GMAT 760 (Q51/V41), Old IIT Btech, CFA L3 Passed
I worked for 4 years (interned and received PPO) for my 1st firm (BB IB) where I also had a promotion. I switched to a new firm in Feb 2021 to get a more front-end role. I established a new set of capabilities which was the purpose for which I was hired. While I had completed my primary set of responsibilities, they did expect me to stay longer. However, I wanted to pivot to fintech (which is my post-MBA goal) and found an attractive opportunity there. I was honest about my plans to apply this year in the interview process and joined the firm in August 21.
So I switched twice in the last 7 months with the 2nd switch quite close to the application deadlines. Both my recommenders are from the 1st firm.
I intend to offer the above explanation in my optional essay. Any part of the above explanation that is a potential red flag, or anything that I should emphasize, or anything that is unclear about the above explanation?
I believe this is the major chink in my profile armor. Explaining this well might get me good admits while a poor explanation might ruin all my chances. Please let me know your opinion/advice. Thanks!
