Hi all
Thinking about 1 year MBA program, my question is: do these programs teach you enough to equip you with the hard skills needed to do the job or you need to come with those skills learnt already and MBA can give you an overall view of business+soft skills (leadership)+networking? Do you really learn?
I'm thinking about Finance/Accounting career: should you come with a broad knowledge of the area and ACCA/CPA gained already, or you can really get good knowledge during the MBA

A one-year MBA program is not well suited to a career switcher at all. You really need to get an internship to be viable for that post MBA goal in accounting or Finance. Insead does offer a shrt internship for January intake, however I really don't think that they would give you enough depth to justify a career switch in a totally new function. So I do figure instinct is correct that a two-year program might be better suited to your goals.
