Tuck's focus is general management i.e. create managers with a good understanding of a broad range of subjects in order to effectively lead a business

Good question. Sometimes the schools sound so similar, so you really have to dig online or ask insiders. Tuck is really a little gem, “tucked” away in a rural area that not everyone will want to be at for 2 years. But most grads love it, and my older brother, who works in PE/IB and went to HBS, loves recruiting there because of the team-natured spirit of the grads. The small setting and class size drive this. The school is strong in finance, has a great healthcare program as well, and is a great general management program. So if you are coming with very specific career goals in let's say Hi Tech/Internet, then perhaps you should look at a more geared program like Haas with better downstream recruiting in that area. But it's an excellent program and I have both friends and clients who attended and virtually nobody has been unhappy with the experience. But I would advise investing in some warm clothing!
