Hi guys, I had the HBS interview a couple of weeks ago. Just two days after, I was contacted by HBS Admission´s office to send my official exam results. A week after the interview, one of my recommenders was contacted by Re Vera Services on HBS behalf, asking him 3 simple questions on the recommendation. Are all the interviewees contacted, or does it mean that they already made the decision to admit? I thought that the background check was after the admission´s letter.
Thanks

That is unconventional, but they do reserve the right to contact them at any point. Is there something about that particular employer that might the unusual, is it a startup, did he use a personal email address?
No, not really, besides he´s not from my country. Does it mean something? At least that I haven´t been rejected yet? I thought it could be good news as the backup check done by Re Vera is to admitted students
Well I think it's pretty safe to assume that it's a positive sign because they would hardly invest in you if they wanted to reject you so yes it's a positive sign but I don't think that you should consider yourself admitted until that day comes. Good luck to you !
