If you had to be admitted to each School separately I imagine that that would be acceptable.
I don't know for sure and I honestly think it would be good for you to ask that pointed question to admissions because the policy might change from one program/school to another.
Some programs have a special quota for that program and so I'm not sure they would be cool with you dropping part of it out.
Just from personal experience I think doing both of those degrees is the same time seems kind of psychotic. But I am a Tulane Law dropout. Did my MBA and was a much better fit.
I hope that you can research what it would be like to be in a role that would require both of those degrees or whatever the goal is so that you can avoid disappointment if you haven't already started.

Say you've been admitted to the JD/MBA program. Half way through your firsylt year, you realize law isn't really your thing. Can you opt-out then from the JD/MBA program, and pursue a single degree(MBA)?
