What I can understand is that your main problem seems to be poor time management and test-taking under pressure, rather than weak fundamentals. But remember, silly mistakes are also mistakes. You need strategies for pacing, handling stress, and simulating real test conditions, more than just learning concepts.

Check which section is your weakest, like Verbal RC or CR. YouTube has a lot of free content, for example GMAT Ninja.
Also, GMAT Club has difficulty-wise questions: start with low-level questions and focus on specific topics.

There are paid courses if you are interested; I can share more details about them.

Hi Mayday44,

Here is a structured, step-by-step approach to help you push through:

1. Consolidate your concepts
Revisit all the conceptual material you’ve covered so far and work on strengthening it. Consider investing in a solid prep course. Keep in mind: while the official material is excellent for practice, it’s not designed for teaching concepts from scratch.

2. Re-attempt all previously incorrect questions
Review your mistakes from earlier practice. Understand why you got them wrong and how to avoid those errors going forward.

3. Practice with a new set of high-difficulty questions
Use either official sources or reliable third-party material to build deeper familiarity with challenging questions.

4. Practice consistently over the next few weeks
Every couple of weeks, go back and re-attempt your earlier incorrect questions. Continue revisiting weak areas in your conceptual understanding along the way.

By diligently following these four steps over a few focused weeks, you’ll likely find yourself performing at a significantly higher level.

All the best!

Hey everyone,
I’ve taken 3 GMAT mocks so far and my scores are:
• Mock 1: 475(v73/q72/di74)

• Mock 2: 575 (had a few repeated questions, so probably inflated)(q77/v77/di83)

• Mock 3: 495(v74/q81/di69)

Have attempted the sections in the above sequence of marks.
So realistically I think I’m around the 480–500 range right now.
What I’ve noticed:
• When I do questions untimed, I can usually get them right

• Under time pressure, I start missing things and run out of time and don’t recollect what i have learnt.

So I’m confused whether my issue is:
1. Weak fundamentals

2. Poor timing strategy

3. Or just lack of enough practice under timed conditions(although i have done bunch of them through coaching)

Also — should I keep taking mocks frequently, or pause and focus on sectional practice?
Target score: 650+
Background: I am in merchant navy and have been preparing for gmat since jan 1st week for aroud 5-6hrs almost evryday leaving few days here and there.
During the last mock i was not able to recollect things i have learnt like it seems impossible in 2-2.5 mins to do a question which is a bit tricky in quant or di it just seems so overwhelming.
Woulda really appreciate advice from anyone who was in a similar range and improved.
I have taken live coaching for gmat also .
Tell me sincerely should i try again for 2 more months or just make plan B .
Thanks!
