The focus group members are asked if they prefer the serious ad, prefer the comical ad, like both, or dislike both. Eleven members viewed the serious ad positively, and 15 had a positive view of the comical ad. If no one disliked both ads, find the number of group members who liked only the serious ad and the number who liked only the comical ad.

Because the 11 who liked the serious ad plus the 15 who liked the comical ad total more than the 24 on the panel, there must be some panel members who liked both. Also, it is given that no one disliked both. If one person liked both, there would be 10 who liked only the serious ad, 14 who liked only the comical ad, and 1 who liked both. This still totals more than 24. If two people liked both, there would be 9 who liked only the serious ad, 13 who liked only the comical ad, and 2 who liked both. That accounts for all 24.
