Hello BrushMyQuant,

Hope you are doing well. Can you please tell me how did you figure out that March has the highest proportion among the three months? A detailed explanation would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Best,
Komal

Among the three months shown, the month for which high-priority requests constituted the greatest proportion of the total number of requests for the month is___________
This is a tricky question and they are trying to trick you by giving months which have greater number of high priority cases (Jan and Feb) but they contribute to lower proportion/percentage of overall cases in that month as compared to March.
Now, if you read carefully then they are asking to select the month which has greater proportion and NOT greater number of high priority cases.
We do not need to calculate the exact values in this case as it is visible that March has more than 50% of high priority cases and Jan and Feb has less than 50% of high priority cases.
So, Answer is March

and that month had____________total number of requests, among the three.
March has Least no. of cases as compared to Jan and Feb
So, Answer is Least

Approximate Math below for reference.

Jan has approximately 410 high priority cases out of 1100 cases making proportion of high priority cases as around 37%
Feb has approximately 380 high priority cases out of 920 cases making proportion of high priority cases as around 41%
Mar has approximately 300 high priority cases out of 590 cases making proportion of high priority cases as around 51%

Hope it helps!

When dealing with proportion you are looking for a ratio. In the case of March, the high-priority requests (black box) clearly assume over half of the total requests received that month. The other months all have less than half of total requests being high-priority (black box) which means that march has the greatest ratio of high-priority to total requests.
