The table gives the number of respondents who support candidate C, and within these the number who are enthusiastic supporter of C.
We are to find whether following questions can be answerwed.
1) The percentage of all respondents who indicated support for Candidate C
Add all the numbers in the second column and divide by 945 to get the answer....YES
2) The percentage, among all respondents, who indicated support for Candidate C but did NOT indicate enthusiastic support
Add the difference of sum of third column from sum of second column.......YES
3) The percentage of the respondents in the 28 - 37 range who indicated support for Candidate C
We do NOT know the number of respondents who are in this age bracket. We just know how many support C in this age category. It is possible that there are 126, then it is 100% or it may be that there are 200 in this age bracket, then 63%....NO

I have a doubt regarding the question no 2 .
How can we find the percentage of respondents who indicated support for candidate C but dint indicate enthusiastic support without knowing the number of candidates who indicated both support and the enthusiastic support. There will be some kinda overlap between the number of people who support and the number of people who indicate enthusiastic support.
Hence , dont you think this venn diagram equation n(aUb) = n(a) + n(b) - n (a intersection b ) needs to come into play ?
Please help.
