Hey,
I’m Sparsh Attri, and I’m planning to pursue an MBA in the 2026 intake. I’ve attempted the GRE twice so far. My first attempt didn’t go well due to a lack of preparation, and despite performing well in my mock tests for the second attempt, my actual exam score was disappointing. My mock scores ranged between 316-324 across various platforms like Manhattan, ETS, and
Magoosh, which had given me confidence. However, I ended up scoring 300, which has shaken my test-taking confidence and made me hesitant about another GRE attempt.
Now, I’m considering switching to the GMAT, but I’ve received mixed opinions on this decision. Some people support the switch, while others advise me to refine my approach and retake the GRE. My quant performance in the GRE was strong, consistently scoring between 160-170 in mocks, while my verbal was initially weaker but improved to a range of 156-160. I’d love to hear insights from those who have transitioned from the GRE to the GMAT to help me make a more informed decision.
