A set of Manhattan Review practice questions for all sections of the GMAT is l centimeters long, m centimeters wide, and n centimeters thick. These sets are shipped in a box which is l centimeters wide and m centimeters deep. How long does the box have to be to enable the shipping of 30 sets per box?
(1) n = 5
(2) m = 20 and l = 27.5

Since the dimensions l and m are present in the box, the only limiting factor will be n.
St1:
n=5
So box length=5*30 =150 cm

As per the question,
let length of box be X
no of books=(Length*breadth*height) of box/(length*breadth*height) of book
30 = X*l*m/l*m*n
30 =X/n
30n =X
as per stmt 1) n=5, hence sufficient
We can eliminate options B,C,E
as per stmt 2) L=27.5 cm and m=20 cm..... not sufficient
Hence answer is A
