and x values spans between approximately between 6 and 1.5. This makes x >1

Now, answer options are AD

x = {0.1........1.9} we get YES and NO ,now we eliminate D and A is the answer

I also believe the answer is A. Solved with plugging in, since there are variables in the question. Statement 1 shows that y has to be at least 1.1 and at most 3.9. Regardless of which, X will always be greater than 1. So it's either going to be choice A or D. The second statement shows that x has to be at least 0.1 and at most 1.9, so x can be either less than 1 or greater than one. Hence, the answer is A.
