Akhil must complete a project that is divided into seven subtasks by midnight on Sunday. He can only complete one subtask each day, starting Monday morning, though the subtasks can be completed in any order. The table shows each subtask as a fraction of the total work for the project. If he must complete more than half of the work for the project before Friday, is subtask S completed before Friday?
(1) Subtask R is completed on Friday and Subtask V is completed on Saturday.
(2) Subtask P is completed on Thursday and Subtask Q is completed on Monday.

since a sub task s has to be completed before Friday and work done till Friday is greater than 1/2
hence work done after friday should be less than 1/2
As per
A R+S = 1/6 +1/5 = 11/30
if s is done after friday
11/30 + 2/15 = 1/2
which means S can not be done after friday since work done should be less than half
hence sufficient
B
P and Q are task before friday and they add upto 1/3+ 1/9 = 4/9
but addition of s = 2/15 is still less than 1/2 and other task can also make upto that value greater than 1/2
Hence insifficient
hence work done after friday should be less than 1/2
