Statement 1: Suff
a^1/2 = 4
a=16
b^2=a^3
b^2=16^3
b^4=16^6
Statement 2: Suff
3b^2-2a^2=160
b^2=a^3
3a^3-2a^2=160
a=4 satisfies the above equation
Therefore, a^3=b^2
b^4=a^6=4^6
Hence choice D.
a^1/2 = 4
a=16
b^2=a^3
b^2=16^3
b^4=16^6
Statement 2: Suff

b^2=a^3
3a^3-2a^2=160
