If \(x ≠ 0\), what is the value of \( y\)?
1) \( xy + \frac{y}{x} − 3x − \frac{3}{x} = 0\)
2) \(x = 3\)

Statement 1:
Combine x and 1/x terms:
\(x*(y - 3) + \frac{1}{x}*(y - 3) = 0\)
\((y - 3)*(x + \frac{1}{x}) = 0\)
The solution for \(x + \frac{1}{x} = 0\) is \(x^2 = -1\), hence no real solution. Then we must have \(y - 3 = 0\) and y = 3. Sufficient.
Statement 2:
Insufficient.
