Statement 1. The difference between the vertex angle and a base angle of the isosceles triangle is 30 degrees.
Let base angle = x, then vertex angle can either be (x+30) or (x-30) because difference between is equal to 30.
Case 1 (x+30): x+x+(x+30)=180 =>x=50 Vertex=80
Case 2 (x-30): x+x+(x-30)=180 =>x=70 Vertex=40
NOT SUFFICIENT
Statement 2. The sum of the two base angles is bigger than the vertex angle.
50,50,80: Sum=100>80
70,70,40: Sum=140>40
NOT SUFFICIENT
