If a, b and c are different positive integers, is c the greatest value?
(1) c = b - a - 5
As b=c+a+5 and all are positive integers, b is surely the greatest of all.
c is NOT the greatest.
Sufficient
(2) a = 2c - b
2c=a+b
\(c=\frac{a+b}{2}\)
As all are different positive integers and c is average of a and b, surely one of a and b is greater and other smaller than c.
Again, c is NOT the greatest.
Sufficient
