1) –1.5 < y < 1.5.
now since y is an even integer, the only even integer between -1.5, and 1.5 is 0. hence sufficient
2) ay=0, either a is 0 or y is 0, now since a is not equal to zero, thus y has to be zero. hence sufficient
correct answer should be D
