1 year of on - off preparation with work, home and a kid finally paid off.
Really bored with my current job, I finally decided last year end to start the preparation for GMAT. Booked a date 23rd November 2010 and went for the war with full confidence. GOT A 570. Completely dejected, I came out of the center. I knew I was not very disciplined but definitely I deserved more than this.
Got home, booked the next date the very same day - 28th December 2010. Although hubby was very supportive and didn't mind my spending another 250$ without even thinking for a day, I remember him whispering 'you can have some more time honey...'
I was not aiming for a whooping 700+ as the college I am interested requires only a decent 650 score so I did not want to waste more time.
In that one month I added a little discipline, solved the GMAT club free tests and started using the forum effectively. Before going to the test I was really scared and started to re-evaluate my decision of booking my date so early. Anyways, there was nothing much I could have done at that point of time. Just chanted Om Jam Janpathaye namaha (A small prayer for the elephant headed God) and left for the exam. 4 hrs from then I had my GMAT score on screen - 690. A great surprise and all the efforts turned worthwhile.
Though I do not have a great score like many splendid fellow members, I just wanted to thank the GMATclub community for doing an excellent job and providing both emotional and material support for MBA aspirants like me.
