Hi Guys,
I have been preparing for GMAT since last 3 months relentlessly. I have worked on most of the recommended books suggested on this forum.
MATH - OG-12, Quant Review and all
MGMAT books.
VERBAL -
MGMAT SC, CR Bible and went though
MGMAT RC once.
I have my exam in around next 20 days on October - 8th 2010. My mock test scores so far are -
MGMAT 1 - 620 (Q46, V30)
MGMAT 2 - 610 (Q44, V30)
MGMAT 3 - 660 (Q44, V36)
MGMAT 4 - 600 (Q44, V30)
GMAT PowerPrep 1- 650 (Q49, V30)
Knewton - 590 (Q39, V33) --- Though I find the scoring very weird, this was the exam of all, where I answered least incorrectly. 9 Quant were wrong and 13 verbal were wrong.
I feel my
SC is still weak and which is something very disheartening for me. I have read
MGMAT SC twice as well as prepared some 6-8 pages notes + basic idiom list (70-100 idoms) for it. But in all the above exams, I got 5-6 SC's wrong. My RC and CR are slowly building up, reflecting from my OG and Verbal practice questions. I am able to get them done correctly 85-95% times.
So coming to main point - How can I try to improve my Verbal section during the mock tests. SC is really bothering me up now. It seems my hard work is not going through proper channel, hence unable to see the output. Since, now only 20 days
are left, I need some expert advice very badly to shoot up my verbal section and esp SC. I will be able to manage through Quant, atleast I believe so.
Please pour-in some ideas / advices.
Thanks.
