According to my analysis, for a decent verbal score it is not that you need to know all the rules of grammer and you will be able to get all the questions right in 75 minutes. It depends on the fact that how fast you recognize the error in a given sentence. And that is the place where you need to read a lot of books with a quality material. This is the way you can find out a wrong sentence ,just by reading it.

And for a kick off ,i will start with Aristotle-SC-Grail and few of the fiction books.

Being a wrking professional,i wont be able to get more than an hour for my study. But still i will start with that one hour.

Your r right about recognizing the error quickly. I think GMAT is all about time. Given enough time, I bet most of the people can get 780. It is all about the race against the clock. Loosing few battles to win the war !

Try having a schedule and stick to it. About 95% test takers are working professional. Do it for yourself. If you really want to go to B School, this is something you have to achieve.

Good Luck.

Please check out different study plans/ books/strategies in sticky section on this forum. You'll get plenty of different options. Choose one and most importantly, stick to it. I'm also working and preparing for GMAT. It's difficult to maintain GMAT world and NON GMAT world.
You're on a right track for sure. PM me and I can share FREE resources available from various sites.

I have finished SC grail and just done 10 questions of SC from OG 10.My accuracy was just 60 percent for those 10 questions.I think it will improve with the practice....

I did 4 passage from RC99 and finding it difficult in comparison to others ,which i had done earlier.
My accuracy is just 25% for those 4 passages.Hope i will improve it.

I am going through PowerScore CR (On 25th Page).....

Today I did m04 from GMATclub test my score was
m04 29 37 78% 121.6248 sec 1250 63%

And one more thing ,i have started using Error log ,with which i found that, out of 8 wrong answers in m04 ,6 were due to my carelessness. Thanks to error log.

Any suggestion will be appreciated....Thanks

OG 10, 11 and 12 is very repetitive. The powerscore book is good. Use MGMAT SC. A lot of people think they understand how to do something but realize that on the GMAT it's not just understanding. It's figuring out something from scratch by yourself. There is no OA to backtrack on. That'll be the key to success. Good luck

I read through MGMATSC 2003 edition and found that also good. Most of the things in Grail are same just a few addition. But it has not improved my speed with accuracy.

I felt that SC Grail is a condensed version of MGMAT SC book. MGMAT SC book has so many small things that SC Grail ignores. So I would suggest to go through MGMAT twice or thrice and make really good notes to remember every idiom or any pattern suggested.

Today I solved some more RC questions from RC99 and my overall score increased from 25% to 50% in my error log.

In SC also,it improved from 60% to 65%.

Happy to see the improvement. But i am still far behind.I have to improve more.

By the way ,To kill a mockingbird by Lee, is adding spices to my preparation. Thanks to bb.

Till today, i have solved some more questions in SC and RC99.

My overall scored in RC, has improved from 50% to 54%

And in SC it has improved from 65% to 67 % according to my error log.

(I am taking overall percentage so it wont be showing my exact improvement, but i dont want to be overexcited, let it in that way  )

(Sometimes it is very tempting to increase my score in error log as few of the mistakes are just beacuse of my carelessness, but i think i should be honest :)

By the way ,"To kill a mockingbird" by Lee, is finished. It was a great book .My new novel is "The Art of Motorcycle maintenance" by Robert M Pirsig .
