I gave my 1st attempt of GMAT on April 24th 2010. Got 680 (Q50 V32 AWA 6.0) then. I felt that I could improve my Verbal and was preparing on and off since then (went to India for vacation and then heavy work and partying), finally as again lot of work was coming up, and the deadlines for B-schools were nearing I wrote my 2nd time on Nov 11 2010 to score 710 (Q49 V36 AWA 6.0). I am happy even though a little bit disappointed on Quant getting reduced by 1 point.
I mainly was just working on Knewton course, MGMAT SC (as my SC was very weak) and OG. In retrospect, I feel it is very difficult to increase the verbal score even in a few months. But anyways I am happy tht I am done and will start applying off to B-schools. I am thinking of applying to following (I have 5 years work exp by this dec), let me know what you guys think:
1) ISB (Indian School of Business-Hyderabad)
2) INSEAD-France
3) INSEAD-Sinagpore ….Can anyone tell if one application is enough for INSEAD France and Singapore or a separate one is required?
4) LBS (London Business School)
5) MBS (Melbourne Business School)
6) Haas school of Business

Hold on.... So your % for Q and V remained the same or dropped. Yet the overall score went up. This GMAT algorithm is the most complex thing ever. Congrats on your score by the way. All the best for apps.
