" Pardner - Get your timing strategy Right" - these were the words which i took back with me with a print of the score report. 
Profile - 30 Male Channel Mgr Automotive looking for a 3 digit no which begins with "7" on my score report....
All went ok except somewhere in the middle of Quantative section the following stats popped up Quant Q30 ,time left 02:58... " wait a minute..!!" this was never a problem till now - wats happening? ..funny, because i knew my verbal timing like the back of my hand..8 questions every 15 minutes..and sure enough i finished my verbal with 2 mins to spare...
So a slight analysis on what happened?? - back to when the stats popped..and i literally pooped..cant happen to me ..right eh? WRONG !!! i repeat again slowly W-R-O-N-G !!!! so , i guess the last 8 questions on the quant..shhhh!!!!!
Then in my verbal break -my mind goes from blank - can verbal save the day? - dunno-verbal has to save the day !! - go timing - psss,you guessed tha last 8 questions in quant !!!!
I plan to give another shot...and yes Pardner ,get your timing right !!!

Welcome to the club theperformer. Time and stress management is really a key to 700+ score. I'm no expert but felt the same way when I gave my GRE few years back.

That's a very unusual score breakup I must say - 38 in verbal is very good while 42 in quant is very bad
Has to be the timing as you said. Was a major problem for me too the first time I took the test. I totally agree with you that you should retake 'coz given ur verbal score, if u can pull up quant (which should not be a big problem) u can easily see the "7" on ur score report.
