Hi all,
Just finished the test. Something went horribly wrong in Math, and I will have to retake because of that. I would like to have some tips from you, since I'm a bit lost with the way things turned out.
When I decided to take the GMAT, I started with GMAT Prep right off the bat, scoring 700 in my first try, Q45 V41. After that, I bought the official guide and solved it cover to cover, with an average rate of 91% right answers in the Verbal section and 85% in quant, with my score greatly lowered by my ~60% in data sufficiency.
With that done, I took the GMAT Prep 2 and was shocked to score exactly the same thing, though I had covered the official guide completely. I started to despair and bought 800score's set of tests, of which I did only the quant part. There I scored 45, 43, 37, 44 and 48. I then went cover-to-cover on Kaplan's Math Workbook, again with a high rate of right answers, only to take GMAT Prep couple more times for 700 and 720, never scoring above 45 in quant.
With my GMAT score super high on verbal but dismal in quant, I have to retake. What's puzzling me is the fact that I was able to cover both books really easily, but when I do the prep tests my score never shows any improvement.
Any help you can give me in building a quant study plan for the retake will be highly appreciated. I won't be studying verbal anymore since my average score is 97 percentile.
My target score is 720.
FRUSTRATING!
