Yeah... Most people here use the Manhattan CATs to gauge their performance :)

As for the quant/verbal score vs AWA score... I don't really know man :o

I'm sorry about your experience, Crashdown786. Your score discrepancy is quite rare. Right now, though, the best thing is to rest and forget about the GMAT for a week or two. After that, return to your studies.

One factor to your score could simply be a psychological one. The fact that "something feels off" tells me that perhaps there was some mental obstacles during the exam. This thread might interest you:

It also seems that the Kaplan guidebook wasn't enough for you. At the very least, consider purchasing the Powerscore CR Bible and Manhattan SC. The five math books from Manhattan would certainly help, but this is a big investment in time and money - especially since you have already reviewed the Kaplan book.

it happens, i bombed the verbal section after it had generally been my strong point in practice. could have a been a mental thing, if you aren't focused solely on the test, and let your mind wander then it will be tough to answer the questions especially the verbal questions.
