Hello,
I would like to thank the creator of this website and all memeber because they made my GMAT experience better. Without you I would have wasted a lot more time and effort (and, possibly, money).
Here is my GMAT experience (well, key points).
Timeline:
Nov 2010: "GMAT test prep" from Mc Graw Hill - Copmleted 30%, outdated book
Dec 2010: "Math Workout for the GMAT" from "The Princeton Review" - Too easy
Dec 2010: "Kaplan Verbal Workbook", "Kaplan Math Workbook" - Good guides for starters
Jan 2010: "GMAT Quantitative Review" and "GMAT Verbal Review" - Good cover of basics
Jan-Feb 2010: Concentrated on my Spanish class =(
Mar-Apr 2010: Finished all MGMATs and problems - best preparation guide ever
May 2010, first week:3 MGMAT tests
May 2010: GMATClub Math and Verbal challanges. These are good. Help to get you those 2 expra quant points.
May 2010 3rd week: 2 more MGMAT tests
May 20, 2010: GMAT!
Things to do get to 700:
* Read and solve all problems in OG
* Use MGMAT guides and tests - solve all problems in all books. And all CATs.
* Read and solve GMATClub challanges
* Try to get your MGMAT CATs to 700 level, not your GMAT Prep CATs.
Things that others recommend that I didn't do:
* Have an error log. I wanted to get better in all areas, so I did not maintain the error log. I just re-solved every wrong problem right after the test, and I later never got back to it. Also I re-read MGMAT chapters on some topics.
* I did study the day before the test. I went over stuff that i was not sure about.
* I had no breakfast on the day of test. And even thoug I took food with me, I didn't eat much. I tooke water, coke and powerbars with me - but consumed less than 10 percent (1 bitea may be).
* I didn't show up early enough. 30 minutes before the test there already was a room full of people. Didn't affect me.

Im re-taking on Friday, hoping to crack that 700 hopefully ~730. I have been using the GMATClub Math Tests over the last couple of days, but havent done the Verbal Tests. Ive exhausted all of the OG12 and Verbal 2ed review questions and was wondering if the GClub Verbal TEsts are a good resource. Any thoughts?
