Hello everyone,
just sharing my experience.. I was not expecting a good score. in fact, the highest score I had in practice was 690. so I was pleasantly surprised. I did self prep only with the OG and GMAT PREP.
I do have a couple questions:
1) my IR score is really low (38 percentile): will that change the way a top 10 MBA school looks at my profile?
2) my quant percentile (64) is much lower than my verbal percentile (99) - will that affect my chances?
my profile : Indian male - IT (SAP consultant/architect) - 31 yrs old. lot's of international work experience.

First off, well done
1. An IR score of 4 won't hurt your chances. You've got a 740!
2. Are you by any chance applying to a school (or program) that has traditionally looked for strong quant skills? Otherwise it's really the 740 that schools are going to be interested in.

Hey AjiteshArun, thanks for your answer. I really don't want to write the GMAT again. Right now I'm looking at INSEAD and considering some american schools too. One of my concerns is my age (im going to turn 32 next month). Is there any specific school you would recommend? I definitely want to start my MBA next year (2016).
I currently work in Enterprise Architecture and I would like to transition to business strategy/consulting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
