Took GMAT score recently and got 730 (Q 49 / V 41, 79%ile / 94%ile) IR was 8
Was initially planning on retaking it soon in order to bolster my quant score, but have been so busy recently and now my practice scores are a bit lower. I definitely have the time and energy to put in the work to retake, but I am unsure if it is worth the investment, whereas I could be focusing on my studies. Practice tests were around 740, but higher quant and lower verbal (did my best ever on verbal in the actual exam, but my worst ever in quant in terms of %ile)
Other things to consider: 3.54 GPA overall at a top public university, double majoring. In my quantitative major (Econ), I did not perform that well (3.4-ish GPA for Econ classes), got an A in honors calc, but a B- (right at the average) in Interest rate mathematics. Don't want to delve too deeply into work experience, but I do have some prestigious names on my CV in fairly quantitative work. Shooting to go to a top B school (though likely wont get into H/S), though wouldn't be applying for 2-4 years.
Would appreciate some help in interpreting how I did on the exam and whether or not it is worth the investment of my time to retake. Any other thoughts/opinions are appreciated. Let me know if there is any information I left out that would be useful in asessment.
Thanks
