I first attempted GMAT in 2015.
I had to go to my center at 12 PM and the test was supposed to start by 1 PM. I wasn't prepared and was feeling under confident during the whole process.
After quickly finishing the AWA, I jumped to IR and it was a disaster. My morale went down as I could not solve a lot of problems in that section. I was looking forward to quants which was my strong suit like most Indians and I did a decent job in that section. Then comes the deciding factor, verbal! As I was going through the questions, I thought I did well, but when the score came, I was shocked. I got a 620. (V49 Q27). I cancelled that score and walked out feeling dejected. It took me a week to get back up on my feet after that defeat.
I have still not given up and I am going to attempt GMAT again in September this year.

What could help is ESR Report that you can get from GMAC for your test. It contains the detailed analysis of your performance. Read the reviews before you go for it.

I think you meant to say Q49, V27? Either way, keep your head held high! As long as you study the foundational concepts and hone in on areas of weakness, then you should be in a much better place the next time around.
