Hi Soumya94,

First off, a 670/Q47 is a strong score - and it's a nice improvement over your prior 600 - so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

There's no harm in retesting - and you have the opportunity to pick up some significant points in BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. If you want to retest, then to craft a proper Study Plan for this next phase of your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying so far and your goals:

1) How long did you study for each of your Official GMATs?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)? Did you take any of these recent CATs more than once?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Soumya,

My suggestion is to retake the GMAT. Having a score that is 20 points more than the median gmat score of your target schools will improve your chances of getting an interview call significantly.

I went through a similar journey. You can check my post here:

Your verbal score is below par. Try e-gmat. It worked for me.

Thanks,
Sireesh

Hi Soumya, you would indeed help your cause, by getting a 700+. With a degree in Stats, Q 49/50 should be doable.

All the best!
