My self, non native English Speaker and typical Male engineer working in Finance domain. I started thinking about giving GMAT around month of December 2020. First of all I contacted few friends to get the idea of examination. At that time only, I came to know about the e-gmat and how good the platform is for anyone who want to do a structured prep. I saw videos and read few testimonies on gmat club and decided to trust my e-gmat for my preparation.
Let me deep dive a bit and provide you the details.
Verbal - If you are Typical non native English speaker and struggling with entire verbal then don't wait for a second and go for E-gmat. One of the best and structured course I have come across for gmat verbal prep.
SC - SC has been nightmare for me. Initial mugged up all the grammar rules, and try to solve few official question. Soon I realize that this is not gonna work. E-gmat SC module is supper comprehensive and most important it is fun to solve the quizzes and concept files. Very detailed explanation for each answer choice has given me the confidence to eliminate answer choice with 100% confidence rather that just doing random guessing work. Also meaning based approach completely changed my thought process and way how I solve the SC question. I was scared of SC because I thought I am not a native speaker and I don't know grammar so I will not do well in SC. But that is not the case. GMAT test your understanding about sentence structure more than any typical grammar rules. Definitely grammar can help to eliminate 3 and choices but the meaning based approach only can led you to arrive at the right choice out other 2 very close grammatically correct choices.
CR and RC - Honestly, I was not that much worried about these two topics. But when I started solving some difficult question in CR in Shcolaranuim I realized that I am not doing well in very difficult question. And here comes the majic of pre thinking which I learnt in different egmat concepts files. Pre thinking is the only way to avoid getting trap I'm close answer choice.
RC - I didn't found anything extraordinary in egmat RC module to be honest.
Quant 2.0:
I have never struggled too much with Quant. I have gone through few E-Gmat modules of number properties and Geometry to brush up my concepts. Here as well the course is very comprehensive and highly recommended for someone who want to learn the different frameworks and method to solve. Question pool of quant in Scholaranium is also very decent and can help you to score north of Q48 for sure.
Scholaranium
In simple words - you will not find this type of detailed platform which can give you enough number of question to practice along with great personalized feedback. I already liked the scholaranium 1.0 but then team has upgraded its version. 2.0 version can eliminate need for any personal tutor. Platform is so intelligent and interactive that any one can easily see their weakness and improve upon them
Mentorship Program (DJ is simply awesome)
Personal mentorship program support provided by egmat is unparalleled. At any point in time you can reach out to support team about any issues you are having with your prep and they will get back to you with amazing analysis and key action points to help improve your score. Let me give you few example - I have sent multiple mails to DJ when I was struggling with any particular topic or not scoring well in mock etc etc and each time DJ has come up with amazing insights on which I can work to improve my score. I think having personal mentor or support team is very important because gmat prep is a long journey and you will be having many doubts, up and downs. At that time it is essential to have some personal guidance to give you the confidence and led you in the right direction.
I should stop here, I can keep on listing other amazing features about egmat like sigma x mock etc etc. But in plain and very simple words - if your looking for a structured plan and looking for tested frameworks which can lead you to your target score, then go for e-gmat.
First attempt - 690 (V34, Q49)
Second attempt - work in progress
