Hi gmatlover1010,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not turn out better - but a 650 is still a solid Score though. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. Before we discuss any of those potential issues though, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) What were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for your Official 650?
2) How many hours did you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used so far?
4) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Unfortunately, I did not get the score I was looking for. Both GMAT Prep mocks (1&2) resulted in 710s but at the actual test I ended up with a 660. Then again I made use of Veritas Prep mocks and prepared for about 3 months (along with work) and my mocks varied between 650 to 700. Alas I have to suck it up and give it another go. GMAT is definitely sucking the life out of me. Wow this turned into a tiny debrief.

So the proctor reads out the rules and you need to agree to each and every statement. After this there is a verification process where the proctor asks you to open up task manager and show running apps. He or she asks you to click the fewer details button so that just the running apps (and not the processes) are visible.

I'm sorry to hear about your GMAT. Do you need some advice on how to move forward with your prep?

1) What were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for your Official 650? - Q47 V34 660
2) How many hours did you typically study each week? - I'd estimate about 15 hours a work week + weekends roughly
3) What study materials have you used so far? - GMAT Club is essentially my bread and butter - for Verbal I've used the Manhattan Guides
4) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Q V
May 2 660 / 77 49 32
May 30 720 / 94 50 39 (This was a definite outlier don't mind it :P )
June 7 660 / 77 49 32
July 3 640 / 68 46 32
July 10 650 / 73 49 30
July 11 660 / 77 50 31

GMAT Prep
July 14 - 710 Q48 V40
July 16 - 700 Q49 V36

Actual

July 18 - 660 Q47 V34 IR 7 AWA 6
Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score? - I'm hoping for a 720 but I absolutely need a 700+
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to? I'm open to trying next year. I really want to get GMAT out of the way so that I can move into doing some exciting stuff work wise.
In terms of schools, I'm primarily looking to stick to India with ISB but I've also got a slight interest towards the UK (Said/LBS etc) but I'm looking to dream based on my scores.
