Hello,
Candidate's name - Shubhi Khare
Test date - 22nd August, 2021
I have attempted the GMAT online test with Examity. There were several glitches in the attempt. The proctor had to pause the test 4+ times - each time it took 10-30 min to get the test back live.
In Quantitive section -
I raised the initial delay issues in option selection and to proceed to next question. I had to click multiple times on NEXT or the answer choices for the software to pick the entry.
In Verbal section-
The delay became more severe, costing overall significant time (5-10 min) in verbal section just to move ahead. At the start of the test itself, the proctor paused the test as audio had issues and she wanted me to restart the system. Getting back to the test took 30+ minutes, by now I had already spent 2 hours with just one section attempted.
After restarting the issue pertained, I highlighted it to the proctor again, We paused the test again in an attempt to fix the issue, but there was no resolution.
By now I am halfway to the verbal section, bleeding on time. I discussed with the proctor whether we could raise this to the GMAT team. In last 6 min, in order to just attempt all questions, I started picking random choices, but that itself took more than 6 minutes, as by now the delay in selection was much severe and software almost became non-responsive.
In IR section -
I had to finish the test, even though there were delays, I discussed it with the proctor and continued with pertaining issues. In IR, the drop down menu in question was not responding, I couldn't sort or analyze the data to attempt the question. The proctor then paused the test for the 4th time, to resolve the issue. We came back live in 5 min but this whole scenario costed me my time and energy.
A 210 min test, by now took 280 min+ with the AWA section still pending. I had lost all energy and hope for a good score. I started the test at 11 am and ended it around 3:30 pm with no AWA attempt.
All the above situations are well recorded. Examity team assured to share issue feedback with GMAC along with test recordings.
This is an expensive test, as a student spending 250$ per test, we dont expect such poor experience, its a loss of time, energy and money.
I have written to GMAT, please suggest the course of action
