Difficulty Levels of Official Mocks

Question

Hi 
I took 3 Official mocks of the GMAT official FE at mba.com and here are my scores
exam 1) 1st attempt 635 retake 645
exam 2) 1st attempt 595 retake 625

All ques were different in the above. 
However, i took the 3rd(595) one and found it to be harder than previous ones especially in Verbal. 
My ques is- which one is the more accurate representation of the actual exam? 
Is the difficulty level really as hard as 3rd exam on mba.com or what?

Vanshikakataruka  - you are within the standard error range of these mocks (~32 points in the range of low 600s), so I would say that the mocks are comparable. Also, note that the first two mocks do not have as large a question bank as mocks 3-6 do. So, I would take your second attempt scores with a grain of salt (even though you did not see any repeats).

The practice tests will fluctuate depending on the question database. 
The free tests have a larger database usually and the paid exams 3, 4, 5, and 6 tend to have a tighter question count and a different question composition. The scores, however, should be consistent and adjusted based on the question availability in the database.

Hi.
From what I have seen, mocks 3 to 6 have various new question types; hence, scores are generally lower.
In my case, mocks 3-6 were a good representative of my actual GMAT score. The mock scores were within +/- 20 pts, and the average was the same as my actual score.
I have realized that the actual score for first-time test takers can drop as much as 40 points, and it hardly crosses the mock results by more than 10-20 points unless someone performed exceptionally well on D-day.

bb  - What you said was true for the classical edition. For the focus edition, mocks 3-6 have a much larger database (as per my analysis)
