Hello,
After studying intensively for 2 months and overall 4 months, I scored a 625 (Q78 - V85 - D80) on my GMAT focus yesterday.
I am mitigated because this is already a relatively high score and I lie slightly above the mean GMAT scores for my masters but I am also disappointed since it my all time low score compared to my mock exams (except the first one where I got a 575).
Indeed, I scored
- 625 (Q83 - V78 - D82) (Non official mock)
- 645 (Q79 - V81 - D84) (Non official mock)
- 655 (Q81 - V82 - D83) (Official mock)
- 695 (Q86 - V84 - D83) (Official mock)
- 755 (Q90 - V85 - D87) (Official mock, a bit lucky on the questions)
I do not know how to explain these gaps. My biggest deception is on the quant part, which is the first one I pass during the exam, and on which I usually scored much higher both in my latest mock full exam and in my quant mocks (I have done about 15 quant mocks). I found that the questions were nearly impossible, that I didnt have time for any question.
I was like petrified at the beginning of the quant part and spent more than 9mns on the first 3 questions.
Plus, as a French, and non native english speaker, I cannot explain how I achieved such a high score on the verbal section given my horrible quant start.
Overall, I had 9 mistakes on quant, 9 mistakes on Data and 6 on verbal, which is substantially higher than on my mocks.
I studied for the GMAT with the 4 OGs, and GmatClub. I also took all free materials that I could find over the Internet.
So I come to you for advices:
I need to apply before January 6th, and I have finals lasting until Decemeber 20th. Besides, I work part time so I dont have much time to study.
Should I repass it after my finals? How should I study given my little amount of time available?
Thank you in advance and sorry for my not perfect english !
