If you normally perform better on your mocks, consider whether the time you are taking them versus when you took the actual exam could be partly responsibile. Perhaps your peak test-taking hours are different from those you took your official exam.

Hi amoeba99,

Congrats on a great score so far! Regarding your fog, I think more practice tests would be helpful. Can you tell me how many you have taken thus far?

Thank you Scott.

I have taken all the official mock tests and about 12 gmatclub tests which I earned via redeeming my points.

Hi, congratulations on the great score!

If you have not tried it yet, consider changing your section order. Attempting DI first or second can help you tackle data while you are fresh and might lead to higher percentile (worked for me).

Once you cross 735+, the outcome often depends on the question mix you get on test day and how well those tougher problems align with your strengths. It usually comes down to just one or two questions. You could even give it another shot without much additional prep and likely reach the score you deserve quite comfortably.

If you are aiming for B-school next fall, I would recommend focusing on the rest of your application at this stage since that will have a greater impact than chasing small score improvements. That said, if you have the time, a higher GMAT score can still help you negotiate scholarships.
