After two years of on-and-off preparation, I'm thrilled to finally wrap up my GMAT journey with a second-attempt score of 675 (Q85, V83, DI83) on January 19.
My first attempt on November 24 yielded 645 (Q82, V82, DI82). I wasn't satisfied—my Official Guide (OG) mocks had consistently hit higher marks. Time management was the culprit: I burned too much time on early questions, leaving me rushed and resulting in seven Quant errors despite solid Verbal and DI performances.
Between attempts, I focused almost exclusively on OGs. Aditya Kumar's Quant videos on GMAT Club's YouTube channel were game-changers—they boosted my confidence and sharpened my skills. On test day, I just got two questions wrong on quant, even though the exam felt shaky overall. Seeing 675 pop up on screen was pure relief.
My path wasn't ideal—balancing job with prep meant intermittent prep, which I don't recommend. I went fully self-taught, using only GMAC's OG mocks as paid resources. Huge thanks to Aditya Kumar, GMAT Ninja, and Karishma for their invaluable YouTube content, and to GMAT Club for the unbeatable practice platform.
