Day of the Exam:
Exam was at 12:15 in downtown Manhattan, which was about a 30min subway ride away. I woke up at 8 that morning. Ate a good breakfast, then went to the gym for like an hour. Came back, showered, stuffed my bag with almonds and candy bars, and then finally left for the exam. Arrived at the center at 11:30, and immediately proceeded to get processed in. Before I put my stuff in the locker, I stuffed myself full of almonds to get a little brain nourishment. Then I started the exam. Essays were relatively easy. Took the 10 min break. Stuff myself again full of almonds. Then started the Quant. Thought I got most of the initial questions right. Towards the end got a little tougher and had to guess on a few due to time constraints. After the quant part was done, took another 10min break again. This time, I scarfed down a few candy bars to prepare for the Verbal. Towards the end of the verbal, I was getting a little tired and the room got so hot that my marker actually dried up. The lady monitoring us was even sweating! When it ended, I was drained. My heart was pounding when I clicked on the "submit" button. When I saw that 7 come up, I couldn't believe my eyes. I had to blink...and blink. Just wanted to thank everyone here. It was encouraging to read that other people were going through similar experiences.
Now, I have to research what school I want to go to. Are there any forums for that : )? hahah
