Is there a way to build up vocabulary without cramming wordlists? I mean is there a software where u can add words as u learn them and revise them too. I want a quick way of learning new words without looking up wordlists... what do you guys do?

Words lists are a good way to start, but you need a more long lasting solution.
I agree with Honghu. Read a lot and if you dont understand a word, use the dictionary and try to understand the usage of the word in the context of the sentence. Its very very important. Usage and Context are big in english grammar.
A good way to keep your vocab skills sharp is to solve crossword puzzles. Its very useful to keep you on your toes as far as your vocab skills are conerned. there are many such crossword puzzles online.
I also used the Webster's CD ROM so that i could quickly check the dictionary and also words that are synonyms.
