I have been wait listed by one M7 program and denied after interview to the other one I applied to, I'm wondering if taking any online classes may help boost my profile for a possible reapplication. I come from a strictly math and science background (Chemical Engineering 3.6 GPA) and am looking to make a switch into marketing/brand management. Do you think adding classes that I never had before (finance, accounting, marketing) could help to show dedication? I did great in all math classes in college (4.0 in all but one calculus up to calc 4). Debating signing up for a summer term with the Cal-Berk online extension classes. I'd appreciate any insight.
Thanks!!
Honestly, I don't think having taken the class will tip the scales, although in your letter in which you contact the Adcom, if you mention in addition to other things that you will be taking coursework (planning on it is enough) in your areas of weaknesses, it may add a touch to your profile.
Hope this helps,
Best,
JF
