Hi Everyone and Happy New Year-

I am applying to NYU, Yale, and Columbia and am wondering if I can still press submit on my applications despite not having my recommendations in yet?

Pretty much ever school will allow you to submit your application even if the recommendations haven't been received. However, if the recommendations aren't received by the deadline, your app will most likely be pushed into the next round.

However, many of the schools will give a few days leeway when it comes to late recommendations.

DO NOT submit your Columbia application before all of your recommendations are in (the instructions state this on the first page after logging in).

Most other schools allow you to submit the application whenever you are ready, regardless of whether your recs are in or not.

Yale appears to allow submission prior to recommendations coming in (or at least this is what I'm planning to do).
