Hi group,

I always see walker's avatar... so I figure it is time to ask GMATClub riders some personal questions like...

1. What kind of jacket do you use for street riding and where did purchase it? (Me, Icon Accelerant)
2. What kind of armor do you use for added protection (Me, Knox Back, Knee, Elbow)
3. What kind of boots do you use for riding (Me, NA).

I ride only for fun on weekends, sometimes at a track, sometimes at a highway (a city is too dangerous at speed higher than 80 km/h). Before I seated on a sportbike (Yamaha R6'6, 131 horses, accelerations from 0 to 100km/h for 3 sec) I bought full protections (~3000$):

coveralls: Arlen Ness (kangaroo leather)
helmet: Arai (RX-7 Corsair)
boots: Oxtar (with titan protection)

Dom, do you have a bike?

P.S. I would strongly recommend for all who are going to try ride sportbike: do not save money on a protection and a bike school!

Dom,

2005 Yamaha R6 + Graves Exhaust. My safety equipment needs improvement though.

What do you believe is the best jacket/helmet on the market?

My instructor and some professional riders said that kangaroo leather is the best for a jacket because it is strong, light and the best of all steady for friction. I know that Arlen Ness, Spidi are good brands.

If you choose Shoei or Arai for your helmet, I do not think that there is a better brand. Equal - maybe, but better - I don't think so.

Dom, where are you from? How long and where do you ride?

Jacket looks good! if I seek groves in the next time, I will choose with wrist holder, titan protection and suitable cover for comfortable handling gas. (Sorry for English but I guess you understand me :wink: )

:shock: looks cool! Sometimes I'm thinking about red highlight underneath the bike.... :roll:

I'm waiting for the moment when I pass GMAT and TOEFL, send application packages and return to normal life....
