Yeah
bb I too feel the same, Can you please help with the test prep standards??
I feel the scoring algorithm is far from being perfect
There are a few things that go into the algorithm including questions, difficulty, and actual algorithm. Veritas Prep actually hired a former GMAC testing guru, Larry Rudner, who developed the GMAT algorithm and later left GMAC (he was really smart and a joy to talk to; it is a pity he left or was asked to leave). In any case, he reviewed the algorithm and felt it matched the standards. Which is not a tough thing to do but the challenge is making sure your questions and grading and scoring work correctly. I feel that has been fairly well balanced too based on the reports in the forums over the past 3 or so years. Folks seemed to find their scores go in line with the actual GMAT so I don't see a lot of reasons to suspect otherwise. It is hard to rely on a "feeling" about the test and variations do happen even in the GMAT prep scores.... we used to have a GMAT Score Calculator/Estimator based on practice scores and databases but took it down when there did not seem to be much need in it. Perhaps we will resurrect it
