Was not allowed to present GMAT - Did not include second last name

Question

So after months and months of preparation I showed up this morning at the test center, only to be turned down by the person at the desk because my mba. com profile had only my first and last name, while my passport includes my two last names (paternal and maternal). This was very dissapointing and demoralizing. I also had already taken the GMAT at another facility with the same ID and registration, so it all came as a very big shock. I would appreciate words of support, and would encourage all test takers to double check the registration requirements. Thanks everyone and good luck on your studies.

Thanks for the update. That's a bit misfortune from GMAC. This will further lead people to switch to GRE for their MBA aspiration.

I feel your pain and understand what you must be going through. Did they give you another chance to retake the test with a fee waiver?

Please write to GMAC citing the issues faced at the Center. They should give you alternate date for the GMAT attempt that you missed.

Unfortunately I've not heard back from the customer service team. I'm currently waiting to get my name modified on the platform so I can re-schedule my test. Hoping for a fee waiver but no news yet.

Just an update, I did not get a refund. GMAC closed my case without notification and I'm still trying to get my name changed.
